Tomorrow is the BIG day! According to my doctors I am in prolonged prodronal labor. Basically I'm contracting without change to the cervix. So tomorrow at 7:30 am they're gonna give it that extra jump start and we should be holding our new baby boy!!!

I'll update as soon as possible!

BIG FAT BUDDHA BELLYI saw one of my doctors yesterday and she said that everything was about the same and it should be happening any time. In the mean time she wants me to take some sleeping meds so I can sleep more than 15 minutes at a time due to my nice fat Buddha belly. Seriously it takes me about 3 movements to get from one side to my other side. It's very much like a beached whale and poor Isaac gets thrown around in the mean time while I try to just get comfortable. Everyone is being so wonderful though... family is offering to stay and help out, friends want to go to dinner to keep our minds off of things. We really are blessed.
It's been 2 nights since I've slept so I picked up my Rx for the sleeping medicine, a box of Island Escape Calgon and my sweet husband is going to take me to lunch and get me some comfort food. Now I will just try to pass the time and patiently wait for this little guys arrival.
CALGON - Take me away!

My Brother's Family

I've mentioned my brother's wife being preggers and due the same time as me but never posted any pics. Aren't they a sweet family. They're welcoming a new little girl.

Sipping a pomegranate, cranberry, raspberry spritzer (my specialty).

Wishing I had another 2 days off of being a nanny to pamper myself.

Happily awaiting Molly - the little girl I nanny because we have missed seeing her.

Anxiously awaiting labor to start.

Hoping tomorrow my OB says something more than your cervix hasn't changed and we'll see you in a week.

Waiting for the kids to finish their baths so I can start mine.

Praying for patience.

Enjoying my night.

I want to just get this story out and be done with it. I'm sure a lot of you heard that I went into labor Sunday night. Well it's true. Around 7pm Isaac and I took the kids on a 1 mile walk around the neighborhood. I began contracting hard 2-3 minutes apart at around 8pm. I moved positions, took a shower and even consulted with my dad (an OB) before even considering going to the hospital. After the contractions getting pretty intense we decided to head to labor and delivery where the nurse confirmed I was dilated to 4cm and 70 % effaced and definitely in labor. I contracted all night long without being able to sleep with no change to my cervix. No matter what happened nothing would changed. So after a frustrating night my doc came in and said she'd break my water around lunch time. But until then she'd like to do a pit drip to just open me up a bit more and drop his head a little farther. Of course pitocin is soooo scary but I agreed with the thought of an epidural if need be in the back of my mind. They started the pit drip and guess what??? I stopped all contractions! All natural labor ceased - completely! The pit would hardly make me contract at all and they were not painful and no dilation. With this my doc said she did not feel comfortable breaking my water. So after 20 hours of this crap we were sent home with all natural labor stopped. Yes, I'm bummed - severely. Our family drove 3 1/2 hours to get here and mom even turned around and went all the way home through snow packed mountains. Last night they gave me a sleeping pill and told me they'd see me back in labor in the evening or today in the office. Of course I'm not in labor and not much is happening. Just some cramping and occasional contractions. So no baby. I have no clue what that was all about but it's over for now. And hopefully the next time my body goes into labor my cervix will have gotten over it's learning disability to dilate.
